Max's Dragon by Kate Banks, pictures by Boris Kulikov - review

Max's Dragon by Kate Banks, pictures by Boris Kulikov
I liked Max's Words, in which imaginative Max shows his big brothers how much fun story-making can be. I don't seem to have managed to review it, but I recommend it a lot.

In Max's Dragon, the three boys are enjoying an afternoon outdoors, and Max befriends an invisible dragon. Speaking in rhymes, he again draws his brothers into his game, attributing a sudden storm to a fight between Max's dragon and a dinosaur.

Somewhat impressionistic, vivid illustrations capture the atmospherics of the boys' summer day.
